Congratulations Melbourne Arboretum!

We can all be optimistic about changing attitudes to trees in modern times with Ireland, China, India, Pakistan and many European countries increasing their tree planting programs. We must keep planting trees - but more importantly we need to understand more about effective tree planting on a larger scale. ‘Agro forestry’ is one way, indigenous forestry another.

The Melbourne Arboretum will help our knowledge, awareness and tree management practices. A warm welcome to the project this week – to Charly, Aunty Alice and the Wurundjeri people. With your help the Melbourne Arboretum can teach us all, and we can move forward and strengthen our relationship with the land and its vast history, whilst ensuring a positive future.
